Snow Software and ServiceNow expand their integration in – Dutch IT channel

Snow Software and ServiceNow expand their integration off. The Software Asset Management (SAM) solution from Snow Software also integrates with configuration management database (CMDB) of ServiceNow.

All of ServiceNow customers will now have access to an IT inventory and SAM information. This allows them to benefit from several advantages in the IT area, including fielding help desk tickets to optimize the availability of software licenses.

The Snow Software SAM platform enhances CMDB ServiceNow by automatically to fill with information on hardware configuration and software inventory – including information about software use and the primary user of each device. This data is both cleaned and normalized by Snow Software’s unique Software Recognition Service.

The SAM platform Snow Software also provides an insight into information on software licenses, such as upgrade and downgrade rights and the identification of software. The connector makes it possible to synchronize data from the ServiceNow ITSM solution with the SAM-Snow Software platform. As a result, for example, information on the main software used which can be applied the correct license type, and information that helps in analyzing support agreements.
