I use Vera currently Crypt, find the best choice in the big jumble of disk encryption. Most of the problems which the security audit has uncovered in TrueCrypt are indeed removed. These were no major problems to begin with, but the extra protection can not hurt. Vera Crypt addition was begun before TrueCrypt it stopped because one already / had comments on the security.
The mysterious circumstances of TrueCrypt are somewhat worrying. I feel that there is an error substantionele / backdoor in the software which secret services have free access to encrypted resources. The abrupt termination of the period where the Snowden-disclosure were very topical still do this really suggests, even though no hard evidence for this.
