BT announced the launch of a Benelux professional services task force will help to benefit businesses and government agencies of software-defined solutions for the cloud era.
Software-defined solutions are applicable to data centers, networks and storage. They replace the hardware of an IT infrastructure software that provides the same functions. Such software-based systems are much easier to reconfigure and maintain up-to-date. They bring lower costs, improved security and faster innovation cycles in testing and implementing new applications. BT’s Task Force in the UK provides to the advice, design and implementation of end-to-end solutions and helps organizations best use of these new technologies and integrate them with existing systems and a comprehensive set of cloud services.
Fabrice De Windt (photo), CEO BT Benelux, explains: “For many of our customers can deploy new services in their legacy iT infrastructure slow, rigid and inefficient. Software-defined solutions enable them to simplify their data centers and networks radical. For example, to manage these more easily and deploy applications a matter of minutes, instead of days or weeks “
De Windt continues.” We have always sought more intelligence to our network and data centers to add. Achieving the Cisco ACI certification is a good example. Cisco ACI is a software-defined data center solution that enables organizations to deploy business applications faster and easier. go software-defined technologies for using that intelligence to simplify the management of the IT infrastructure for our clients. They also pave the way for a smooth integration of private and public clouds with business applications. This is what we also call the “Cloud of Clouds’. BT’s ‘Cloud of Clouds’ vision is about enabling customers to connect easily and securely to the applications and data they need, regardless of where they are hosted or located.
