Yes. I use it among other things above. You plugins for this download so your pictures as a slideshow or carousel appear in the browser.
You can view (or folder with pictures) also share via a link, that anyone can access without having an account.

I am really very pleased with ownCloud. The way of sharing and openness of the package are very good
