Software update: The KMPlayer 4.0.0.0 – Tweakers

The KMPlayer logo (60 pix) Version 4.0 of The KMPlayer appeared. This program, not to be confused with KMPlayer from the KDE Software Compilation is a comprehensive media player for the Windows platform. The KMPlayer can handle a large number of formats and containers, including VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, and QuickTime, and does this using both internal and external filters. Furthermore, there are extensive options for subtitles, it is possible to take screenshots or audio and video clips to write, and it’s appearance by adjusting means of skins.

Today, The KMPlayer is published by KMP Media Corporation, but the original developer of this program some time ago started his own business. Its media player is called Daum PotPlayer and resembles in appearance and functionality concerns much like The KMPlayer. The installation file contains several optional modules sponsor, so just remember during installation. The changelog for this release shows the following changes and improvements:
