Atlantis launches USXTM 3.0 software and integrated Atlantis Hyper Cale … – Dutch IT channel

Atlantis Computing, a leading provider of Software Defined Storage (SDS) solutions, today introduced its third generation SDS platform and ready-to-use integrated Atlantis Hyper Cale appliances based on Cisco servers, HP, Lenovo and Supermicro . The new solutions from Atlantis make it possible to move data in a flexible manner within the data center. In addition, the solutions provide all users and applications access to fully flash-based storage performance and provide a halving of the data center costs.

The intelligent Atlantis USX software ensures optimal deployment of faster and cheaper processing power, memory and flash storage. The solution is to offer an end to the inefficiency of SAN and NAS hardware by fully flash-based storage performance. IT organizations can thus ensure that their storage systems provide the desired levels of availability and adapt their resilience to the critical importance of the data. This approach calls for the cost of business back. The new version of Atlantis USX also provides innovations that simplify storage management within the data center, including:

The Atlantis USX 3.0 SDS technology provides comprehensive functionality for data protection and data migration. Organizations can improve the flexibility of their data center with the ability to deliver virtual machines and data in a few seconds time, clone, replicate and transmit and make it just as quick snapshots.

Certified for VMware Virtual Volumes (VVOL) – Atlantis USX is the only hyper converged SDS solution which is certified for VVOL. The software provides the ability to manage leave all existing IT storage within the data center by VVOL. The integration of VVOL with Atlantis USX improves performance and storage efficiency during processes include provisioning, making snapshots and storage management with vMotion.

Atlantis Insight provides proactive software updates, an interface for user feedback, real-time monitoring and alerts (e-mail, Web, SNMP), allowing organizations an assurance that their infrastructure remains highly available.

“Companies need to constantly adapt to new market trends and innovate to stay competitive and to grow, “said Chetan Venkatesh (pictured), CEO of Atlantis. “Thanks to our collaboration with our industry partners, we are able to develop faster and more effectively disruptive software defined storage solutions, such as the new version of Atlantis and Atlantis USX Hyper Cale appliances. Organizations can thus realize a truly software defined data center that provides dramatic cost savings and eliminates their dependence on non-open hardware.
