Industrial engineer Laura Fernández Robles has developed software that makes it easier for the police to deal with child pornography. She will defend this at the University of Groningen.
The Spanish police have the software now in use. Which determines by objects in the pictures, such as furniture and toys, or who come from a single source. The police can thus provide easier connections between thousands of pictures.
Fernández Robles also developed software to classify pig sperm and to see wear on milling heads.
