CIP wants SSD with standard software more secure public – Computable

In the fight against cybercrime has developed the Centre for Information and Privacy Protection (CIP) process and the standards framework ‘Grip on Secure Software Development (SSD). This framework was developed in collaboration with government and market organizations and is written based on the SIVA methodology, in which the NCSC-Web Guidelines have been laid down. The use of SSDs in the product development should lead to more secure software in government.

CIP is the expertise of information security and privacy protection for government organizations. It is a public-private network in which expert market organizations participate as knowledge partners.

SSD is first a thread used by all product development, says the CIP. Since early client and developers to focus on secure software development, improves the relationship between customer and supplier, is the belief of the CIP.

The standard framework is kept up to date in the ‘Practitioners Community SSDs, a group of companies and government organizations that strive for a society wide application of SSD. Parties that have ratified the CIP manifesto vary from Cert2Connect and Capgemini to the UWV and Valori. IBM has endorsed the SSD manifesto. Clients and IT organizations within the government can also count on support from the members when it comes to the development and management of more secure software
