I also had doubts about the security of TeamViewer. Have ever looked
connections which makes the program, and how the data traffic runs.
TeamViewer server is only used to establish the connection between client and remote computer (generally places because both can only outbound connections ). Then there is (almost) no traffic
more between one of the two computers and the TeamViewer server – all traffic flows directly between the client and remote computer. For me it is therefore a safe program.
I suspect that TeamViewer techniques such as NAT traversal (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAT_traversal) used for both computers to connect, through routers and firewalls that allow only outbound connections.
