AMD has released a new version of Radeon Software Crimson Edition, as the drivers are called nowadays. The drivers are suitable only for the HD 7750 and above, the HD 8570 and higher, and of course the cards from the R5, R7 and R9 series. As far as windows are only versions 7, 8.1 and 10 supported. For older cards, now known as legacy is designated, the latest drivers are version 15.7.1. However, there is a beta release of Radeon Software available for the older cards, but it is unclear whether this will ever leave the beta stage.
Radeon Software includes a completely redesigned user interface, which is written in Qt and no longer in .NET, which makes, inter alia, a lot faster. Furthermore, there is support for LiquidVR technology and enhanced Free Sync support. Also frame pacing, low frame rate compensation and enhanced using custom resolutions and virtual super resolution. APUs for the new driver improves video playback. Finally, the loading time of games has improved and would devoid GPUs less energy. The complete release notes are as follows:
