Software Update: 3.15.0 RC1 FileZilla – Tweakers

FileZilla 3 logo (fancy, 75 pix ) After the beta is now the release candidate of version 3.15.0 of the open source FTP client FileZilla appeared. FileZilla is small, simple and yet complete. The program is popular because of the low load on system resources. However, a common complaint is that unencrypted passwords are stored on the computer. FileZilla is available for Windows, Linux and OS X, and can be downloaded from this page in different designs.

Sourceforge, where the downloads are hosted lately is negative in the news due to some downloads offers via its own download manager that contains adware. The download is less than 1MB in size and has an icon with the letters “SF”, then you’ve got the wrong guy. Is such a 6MB download and there is a File Zilla icon, then you’re good.
