IBM Software chief executive Steve Mills leaves company – Dutch IT channel

IBM chief executive Steve Mills, executive vice president of software and systems, has left the company. He worked there since 1973.

Mills has long been responsible for software sales with 110 000 employees. Last he was also responsible for systems such as the IBM Power and z Mainframes solutions.

IBM software grew through the acquisition of Rational Software, Candle, Ascential Software and Micromuse. In addition, with IBM DB2 database, Rational, Tivoli, Lotus and WebSphere
