Software update for HTC One M9 fixes heat problem – TechTastic

htc-one-m9-gray-1 Recently published technology website Tweakers a photo that is clear to see that HTC One M9 struggling with overheating, but as we recently had already written for the launch there a solution to come. HTC has all One M9 aircraft shortly before launch because provided with a software update, and the graphics processor is clocked automatically at high temperatures.

By walked the lack of throttling temperatures while running a benchmark GXBench at up to 55 degrees Celsius. That was a significantly higher temperature compared to the competition, but according Tweakers, the new software update for a big improvement. The HTC One M9 achieved with the new update a temperature of 41.7 degrees, which is significantly less than the 55 degrees of earlier. It is certainly not the coolest phone, but it’s still only a fraction of the competition

.

Why is not made use of throttling in the firmware is unclear. Typically, the speed of the processor is automatically reset clocked when a certain temperature is reached, but this was at the One M9 not the case. The feature did work while browsing and running apps and games, but not during GFXBench. Possibly HTC has done this on purpose so that the unit could achieve higher scores, however, we will probably still there probably never find out.

The software update for the HTC One M9 has no positive effect on the performance of the device GFXBench because because the chipset is clocked at a lower frequency, the hardware automatically scored fewer points. In the on-screen T-Rex testing drops the frame from 50fps to 37fps only, while the One M9 in Manhattan test the framerate looks sacks of 24 to 20fps.

HTC One M9 purchase must end this week are possible in the Netherlands. The pre-order orders are delivered Friday, while the One M9 from Tuesday, March 31 in the stores will be located
