Ritlabs has released version 6.8 of its email client The Bat! brought out. The program supports multiple POP3 and IMAP4 accounts, and a Bayesian spam filter and extensive search and filter capabilities.

Since version 6.7, there is both a 32bit- as 64bit version, but there are no separate Home and Pro downloads more. In this version, more information is given when a registration key is not valid, and there are several problems solved. The complete changelog is as follows:

Improvements
 

• Now The Bat! gives details When something is wrong with the registration key, ie it gives different messages When The key is revoked, copied Incorrectly, is valid for newer or previous versions, etc.

 

Fixes
 

• In the 64-bit version of The Bat !, the “Edit personal certificates” in the account properties dialog did not open

 

• An exception in the Connection Center That could happen When exiting The Bat! while having active send / receive connections-which were in process of connecting to a server Has leg fixed

 

• The Bat! Could sometimes give the “No random handler defined” error at startup

 

• The quick reply field did not allow to navigate Throughout the window using the Tab / Shift + Tab keys

 

• An empty Quick reply field, with just a couple of whitespace characters did anyway call the confirmation window

 

• The Bat! did not display an error message appropriateness When The user tried to create an account with “” or space characters in the name

 

• Some tags in the Connection Center was invalid height, letters being truncated at the bottom
