Netherlands develops into an international hotspot of software companies. ABN AMRO concludes in an update on the software market published today

The Dutch software sector has the wind: the industry is increasingly investing in efficiency and safety and through cloud computing are new markets within reach. The software companies also perform clearly better than the rest of the Dutch business community. The main drivers of this growth are the hunger for new features and the emergence of cloud computing.
New markets
Open the SaaS model, new markets, both abroad and in new business segments such as SMEs. This will improve the export of Dutch software companies. Between 2010 and 2014, exports have doubled from 1.5 to 3.1 billion euros. The share of export revenues in 2013 amounted to 7 percent in 2014, this is 13 percent. Software product for its share is 20 percent. ABN AMRO expects the strong growth in exports of Dutch software also will continue in the coming years.
A ‘typical SME sector
The IT industry is performing better than the visible economy. This good performance is in accordance with ABN AMRO almost entirely in the software market. The software achieves this year expects overall sales growth of 4 percent and ABN AMRO that the industry this growth also holds 2015.

Cloud Computing itself grew an estimated ABN AMRO even 29 percent. Thus the proportion of cloud services grew from 16 to 20 percent of the total market for software and services.
