By Anonymous: I think more people to switch to a better Linux distro, ubuntu with lts support has become very user friendly and safer than an old Windows system that is not properly secured
And there. is a lot of good software to get good help and
3 responses and Windows Wire’s been hijacked by a Linux fanboy …..
But I want my LP also turning.:
Linux is simply not suitable for the desktop. Snap it anyway once. The hardware support is moderate compared to Windows, ease of use is moderate, install the simplest things take hours of time where your Windows with a few mouse clicks are done.
For the fanboys only for those MS is the devil and Linux a an end in itself, these are surmountable problems. Normal people for whom a PC tool is simply to choose the system that their productivity is highest.
And believe me, I speak from personal Linux (Ubuntu / Centos) experience.
I find your comment very strange, anonymous.
hardware support for Linux is just great! Better than Windows where you have example again looking for drivers.
The simplest things cost just less time in linux, because you have repositories.
There are also Linux variants where you can just execute executables, this course for those with less linux coped Anoniempje like you?
I’ll just a make contribution …
Linux hardware support is top, if you know how driverfiles adapt, want to work cross-distro AND you can build just about your own distro.
The things we take for Linux are generally so different from Windows that it’s better with day and night can compare, add to it that you just about anything can be scripted, but you have to understand it as what you do and o leather also equally all commands and how to use it.
After about 2 hours of trial and error, you have a command together.
For consumers it that really do not work.
As long as Linux has no unified interface on any OS works identically (including terminal commands) I see absolutely no future for Linux in the consumer market
Example:. I can not imagine that my mother over 50 as a sudo apt-get does to get inside a package and as more functionality or to add features to its OS …
Then talk about these repositories …
Nice, but I get a tightness of it, like the apple store use on OS X.
A channel where you get everything from within, oh but of course you beyond that to work, as a download package, compile it and install it.
Do you see this actually be done by a home garden and kitchen mother?
So I really do not.
