Software Update: LibreOffice 5.0.0 Beta 3 – Tweakers

LibreOffice logo (60 pix) The Document Foundation has the third beta release of version 5.0 of LibreOffice released. This open source office suite was created as spin-off from OpenOffice and comes with Writer word processor, spreadsheet program, Calc, presentation program, Impress, drawing Draw, database program Base and Formula, an application to join scientific notations.

New in version 5.0, includes a 64bit version for Windows and toolbars get new buds coming out of KDE. Detailed information on the changes in version 5.0.0, which if all goes well the end of July will become available, can be found on this page. These are the main ones in Writer, Calc, Impress, and Draw are made:

 

Writer

  Word-compatible text highlighting

Crop an image
