BT secures cloud with Check Point Software – Computable

BT announces an agreement with Check Point Software to integrate additional security capabilities within its global network. Customers are thus enabled cloud-based applications to access secure wherever they are hosted.

New ‘Cloud Firewall’ services are part of a series hosted security solutions that BT adds to the global network for its cloud of Clouds’ vision – which in April, it was announced – further shape.

These gateways are located in the world’s largest Internet peering locations. Breakouts can be established at the regional level, the best access to Internet-based cloud services, or optimized basis with traffic ‘on-net’ is held and breakouts closer to a specific cloud-site place.

The integrated Cloud Firewall services are now available worldwide as a standard for customers of BT Global Services.
