Researchers “freeze” software to stop malware – Security.nl

“Flawed by design ‘is the correct term for generic libraries that require such solutions. A legacy from the past in which dynamically loading lib’s going to be confused with modules, each “application developer” naturally went into designing his own shop.

If we look at the latest methods of out-of-process handling then there COM + much more fun (read: misery) be removed with

It makes you think that a great deal can be deactivated from an Adobe application, without the application (apparently) incorrectly going to work..

Back to I would say off. It is high time that developers learn scarce again omspringen with resources. But now depends almost entirely the Windows OS onto .NET libraries. See keep doing that ‘lean and mean’.

I have nothing against libraries, but at Escalations process based on redundant or latent code.

All things considered, I find it not to implement such a crazy idea to code freeze on non-autherized pieces from the library. More nuanced than UAC.

Are we going to make it with this? No, I do not think so. A complete overhaul of the .NET framework is needed.

My 2 cents
