The Dutch software industry has continued to grow strong during the economic crisis. The past four years, net sales by four percent to 23.5 billion euros and an added value of 16.7 billion. The data were collected by Dialogic, commissioned by industry association ICT Netherlands and the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
Employment grew
The export of Dutch software is doubled compared to 3.1 billion four years ago. Employment also grew by 3 percent. In the software now more than 164,000 people. The number of companies in the Netherlands that software market has increased by 27 percent over the past four years. That there are now 44,000. The attention to security of software is increasing. Large and medium software companies have increased their investments in security.
