Landgraaf – Berner in Landgraaf delivers proprietary software to calculate anchors and wood joints. The software also calculates quantities for chemical anchoring mortar and bonding retrofit reinforcement.
The software helps the user to select an anchor based on efficiency, says the vendor. The price of an anchor is in Berners explanation but one aspect of a connection. A cheap anchor may, however, be difficult to assemble so that the final costs are higher than originally thought. In order to make an informed choice puts the supplier all documentation and product information for the selected anchor in the calculation program. The worst value is selected by default to prevent errors. The software makes suggestions to the user’s hand in order to improve the anchorage and quicker calculation to arrive at the optimal attachment. Sometimes, such a practice is different from the design that a calculation is not possible. Berner then comes on-site to perform a tensile test with a certified tensile test device.
